Trailer, shop set ablaze in Enugu

A trailer and a provision store have been set ablaze by unknown individuals allegedly implementing the sit-at-home order declared by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

 

The trailer belonging to Chisco firm was attacked and burnt at Eke-Obinagu suburb alongside Enugu-Abakaliki Expressway in Enugu East Council Area of the state within the early hours of Thursday, October 21. 

 

It was gathered that the truck was stated to be heading to Abakaliki. The driver, nevertheless, was stated to have escaped unharmed.

 

A store stated to be stocked with provisions was completely razed all the way down to ashes in the identical Emene space of the state capital.

 

It was noticed that over 10 safety operatives led by the police had been stationed on the scene to make sure that the products within the container weren’t looted.
