Super Eagles move one step closer to World Cup play-off

Nigeria has moved one step nearer to reserving one of many World Cup play-off spots after beating Liberia on Saturday in Tangier, Morocco.

Victor Osimhen and Ahmed Musa scored from the spot within the first and second half respectively to beat Liberia 2-0.

Napoli’s Victor Osimhen scored the primary purpose, which was a penalty for Nigeria after the Liberian goalkeeper introduced him down.

He transformed the ensuing penalty to provide the Super Eagles an early lead within the first half and though the away Super Eagles dominated play they might not add one other purpose within the first half.

In the second half, Substitute and captain Ahmed Musa scored the second purpose for Nigeria, one other penalty, with 4 minutes left to go within the match to provide Nigeria a 2-0 victory.

The Eagles will want at the very least a draw of their final match towards Cape Verde on Tuesday on the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos, Nigeria if they’re to qualify for the World Cup play-off.
