Operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command have arrested three cattle rustlers and recovered two fabricated domestically made weapons, two cows from them.
Spokesperson of the command, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, in an announcement on Tuesday, October 12, stated the suspects have been arrested by operatives hooked up to the State Intelligence Bureau and Vigilante members of Pulaku Association whereas on intensive surveillance patrol alongside Mayo-Belwa and Fufore native authorities areas to make sure security and safety.
The PPRO named the suspects as Ahmadu Usman, 27, a resident of Wuro Gombe, Mayo- Belwa native authorities, Umaru Jauro Bobbo, 20, a resident of kauramai village, Mayo- Belwa native authorities and Umar Sahabo,22, a resident of Gengle village, Mayo-Belwa native authorities.
“The suspects specialises on cattle rustling particularly from areas of Kabillo,Karlahi, Yadim and Chigari villages of Fufore LGA were apprehended with two cows while on their way to deliver them to notorious receivers in Cameroon Republic,” Nguroje said.
“The Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ahmed Barde, who talked tough on the border cattle rustlers; however, directed State intelligent Bureau (SIB) and Divisional police officers(DPOs) to checkmate such criminal activities in their areas and apprehend them.” he added.
The CP additional directed that the matter be discreetly investigated and known as on members of the general public particularly these across the Boarder areas to report males of suspicious character to law enforcement officials.
