FG announces possible resumption of flights to UAE

The federal authorities has introduced the attainable resumption of flights between Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).


Recall flights between each international locations had been suspended in March over points regarding COVID-19 protocol.


Speaking at a media briefing on Monday, Mukhtar Muhammad, the nationwide incident supervisor of the presidential steering committee on COVID-19, stated that each international locations have agreed on the reviewed journey tips and circumstances imposed by the UAE authorities.


He went on to elucidate that the federal authorities has succumbed to the COVID-19 testing requirement earlier imposed by the UAE authorities in March 2021 to take care of concord.


On the resumption of Emirates Airline’s flights to Nigeria, he stated there had been intensive deliberation on the matter between federal govt and the UAE.


“They have met some of our requirements, and we are just waiting for one confirmation,” NAN quoted Muhammad as saying.

Also talking on the briefing, Musa Nuhu, director-general of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), stated Emirates Airline would quickly resume its flight operations out and in of Nigeria.


Nuhu stated that there have been nonetheless ongoing discussions with the airline.
