Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina state has mentioned if all of the Northwest governors cease the blame sport and work in unity, the banditry within the area could be a factor of the previous.


Governor Masari spoke in Abuja on Thursday December 16, when he led a delegation of the North-Western Governor’s Forum on a condolence go to to Aliyu Wamakko, senator representing Sokoto north.


About 23 travellers had been burnt to dying when a bus was attacked by bandits in Gidan Bawa village in Isa LGA of the state on Monday.


Governor Masari whereas talking mentioned;

“We had been in Sokoto state earlier to sympathise with the federal government and speedy households of those that had been brutally killed within the title of banditry. The subject of banditry in north-western a part of the nation is just not past us. We know the issue and the options are one thing that we as a persons are able to doing.

This is supplied that each one of us take accountability and cease the blame sport. Banditry, particularly our personal within the north-western a part of the nation can simply be handled if all fingers are placed on deck. This is as a result of it has no spiritual colouration, no ethnic colouration, it isn’t ideological. It is solely pure criminality.”


Speaking additional, Governor Masari mentioned safety businesses require expertise to successfully struggle bandits.

“We need to know where the bandits are recruited, at what price are they recruited, all these are issues that are very well known to us” he mentioned.
