17 reportedly killed after bandits attack mosque in Niger state

No fewer than 17 individuals had been reportedly killed after bandits attacked a mosque in Maza Kuka village in Mashegu native authorities space of Niger State on Monday morning October 25.


According to studies, the gunmen invaded the group in bikes whereas the residents had been performing their morning prayers. The gunmen started capturing sporadically into the air and killing anybody in sight. 


The Maza_Kuka and Kulhu communities in Mashegu native authorities council of Niger state are bordering Kianji Lake Forest the place many of the bandits are mentioned to be taking refuge.


Confirming the incident, the Secretary to the Niger State Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, mentioned that 16 folks had been killed within the mosque whereas one different was killed at Kaboji village by the gunmen. Matane mentioned that the State Government has despatched a group of navy personnel to the forest to fish out bandits hiding there.


The Chairman of Mashegu native authorities council, Alhaji Alhassan Isa Maza-Kuka additionally confirmed the incident, describing it as very devastating to the folks.
